Purpose

Business Model Forums (guilds or Communities of Practice) can serve as pivotal platforms in the corporate landscape. Their primary objective is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and enable informed decisions about distinct business models. Within an organizational setting, there are various teams or Crews at play. These Forums bridge the gap between these Crews, allowing a seamless flow of ideas and strategies across the entire organization.

One of the standout features of these Forums is their inclusivity. Regardless of the Crew or Base an individual belongs to, everyone is welcomed and encouraged to contribute to these vital discussions. This ensures a holistic approach to problem-solving and strategy development.

Moreover, the versatility of these Forums is noteworthy. Whether you're contemplating a direct sales approach, exploring the intricacies of subscription models, or weighing the pros and cons of a freemium strategy, a Business Model Forum can be tailored to discuss and dissect any business model in question. This adaptability ensures that businesses remain agile, innovative, and prepared to navigate the ever-evolving world of commerce.

Notes

You can set up a Business Model Forum for any kind of business model, such as direct sales, subscriptions, freemium, and so forth. You may need a Chair for each Forum, but this role does not include people management.

Rules / Constraints

  • The Forum exists only for discussions and decision-making.

  • The Forum participants do most of their work on Crews, not on Forums.

  • Nobody on a Forum is the manager of all Forum members.
