Start using unFIX in your organization

The unFIX model is easy to understand. Nevertheless, customers prefer not to be alone on their journey of change.

For this reason, The unFIX Company offers help with education and evaluation of the unFIX model so that you can describe, understand, and develop your organizational design. As the team behind The unFIX Company, we support you with the following:

Phase 1: Meet the Organization

We recommend a first high-level evaluation together with selected members of your organization. We take (online) interviews to gain deeper insights into your team structure and operational model and to understand how different teams work together. The goal of this phase is to get acquainted with your current organization.

Phase 2: Introduce unFIX

We suggest showing you the ins and outs of the model, providing examples and case studies, and doing some practical exercises to get you onboarded quickly. Depending on how familiar you are with the model (and the size of the organization or unit) we run a 2-8h online webinar with a small group of people. The goal of this phase is to start speaking the same language: unFIX.

Phase 3: Evaluate the Present

We help you achieve consensus on your current organizational design. By running a workshop, we model crews and identify lifecycle stages, investment horizons, and more. Two core team members of The unFIX Company with a deep understanding of the unFIX model support you in this phase. The goal of this phase is a shared understanding of your present situation.

Phase 4: Develop Futures

After understanding the current situation and identifying possible issues and opportunities, we help you describe potential future designs of your organization. These scenarios will depend on your company's vision and strategy and may change over time, together with the experiments your organization will run.

With our help, you develop possible futures with defined value streams, cooperation between crews, and (re-)define supporting crews. If needed, we can also discuss potential operational options, like the cadence of re-teaming or team decisions. The goal of this phase is to have multiple scenarios for organizational evolution.

Phase 5: Continuous improvement

After describing the potential future scenarios, you want to start a continuous improvement process, moving the organization into the desired direction. At this point, we will hand over to unFIX partners or 3rd party coaches and consultants. They are the experts in guiding these organizational changes and can also provide the required time and attention. We recommend inviting them in the earlier phases for increased transparency and commitment.

The unFIX team will not be part of the actual organizational transformation. However, we offer to act as a sounding board, so you can reflect with us on the progress of the organizational change. With this approach, we gain a win-win-win situation, where every involved party can bring their expertise at the right time. The goal of this phase is to achieve measurable improvements within the organization and continue to evolve in the desired direction.
